BYUSA Elections

As I walked from the MARB towards the bookstore this morning, into my view came 3 big posters for the BYUSA campaigns. Instantly I thought to myself "If I vote, which I probably won't I'll just vote for the ones with the cool poster". That was it, I had no thought of what they stand for, or what they want to do for the school, I just liked their poster. Oh how advertising is so enticing!

As I was walking by all the people rallying for their candidate, my thought was that if I were to vote, I'd probably just vote for the candidate who are advertising with my favorite color.

I hate BYUSA elections. I seriously want to take all of their little papers back and be like "How many trees can we make with this stupid stuff that everyone is going to throw away?" I have a new approach this year.....when they try to hand be papers I just hold up my fist. So far so good

my freshman year, one of the people running had people all over campus playing guitars and singing the same song OVER and OVER. That was the only time I voted and I voted against them. I HATE BYUSA elections! So annoying. I've been here for 4 years and these elections have never impacted me.

I think the only time I voted was when a friend of a friend was running. The posters and campaigns are very annoying.

I agree with all of you, and that is usually how I feel. This year I'm with Lance and I actually voted because I have a friend running. So if you guys do decide to vote, Kristina Cummins and Conder/Ponder (something like that) is the way to go. Even though personally I always think, what do the BYUSA President and VP even do? They don't have the ability to make changes. But...if anyone did have the power to make it so we have a spring break I would vote for them for sure.
